Creating jewelry for fellow lovers of nature and the unusual

Shop members

  • Kim

    Owner, Maker, Designer

I live in a tiny village along the Hudson River in the amazing Adirondack Park region of Upstate NY. I make jewelry with the support of my wonderful family and a dedicated support staff - our dog, 2 cats, 3 rats, and snake.

  • Lucy

    Courier

Lucy carries supplies from the mailbox upstairs to my work room and patiently awaits acceptance of her application to transport finished pieces to the kiln. Her abilities may not meet the requirements, but her dedication and enthusiasm are unmatched.

  • Eris

    Supplier

Eris is responsible for the material which helps make my Fine Silver Snakeskin jewelry. He works very hard to provide quality sheds on a regular basis, and takes great pride in their appearance.

Frequently asked questions

What is Precious Metal Clay?

The Precious Metal Clay [PMC] I use is made from pure silver particles recovered from scrap jewelry, electronics, x-rays, photographic film, and industrial waste. These particles are mixed with a binder of water and plant-based organic materials to form a malleable clay which becomes .999 fine silver when kiln-fired. I fire each piece in my home kiln for 2 hours at the optimum temperature for maximum strength.
